About buddies
on: March 22, 2009, 09:41:37 PM
Hi members!
I just discovered something also in my prolife box.

On the left of your regular profile, is a box with a list of profile layout and etc.  on the bottom of the list, is "edit buddies", you click on that and you can make list of your buddies in the forum.  Type in their user name, then their email, etc is shown on that list.

Also, whenever you are logged in, at the bottom of the Piano Forum, is a list of the users that are logged in. Right away, it shows,  for instance: (2 buddies , 1 hidden) box.  The "2 buddies" would be from my list, and thier user names would  be in  a more bold print than the other users  that are on the bottom of the page.   So that way you know who your buddies are on line here.

Another thing, when you go in the edit buddies list, you can click on their user name and their profile will open up so that you can leave a PM(personal message) for your buddie.  It's more convenient than trying to search their user name under the members tab.   Anyhow, this may be something most members know about, but for those who don't, it's a neat thing.  Just wanted to share that today with the members here.

Enjoy and have fun!     :)

Well, apart from commissioing deceased Norwegian ex-tractor drivers (see a certain other thread of your acquaintance), what functions DO you have?

On second thoughts, maybe it's best if you keep the answer to that one to yourself...

How utterly delightful for you! A one-man contribution to the expansion of global warming, no less. Video evidence is all very well but it's surely as nothing compared to the rise in temperature in the Gravesend area that it beings about on each occasion when these things break.

But there is a limerick to commemorate this great performance:

"There once was a young man from Sparta*,
Who, they say, was a very good farta.

He could fart anything to "God Save the Queen,"
To Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata."

First comes a neat pizzicato,
Followed by a prolonged obbligato,
Then with a crash comes Bach's "B minor Mass"
And in counterpoint "La Traviata."

One can only imagine that Thal's thalent in this direction may be such as to enable him to extend the duration of those famous trombone glissandi in Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra (a work famously described by a well-known British conductor and composer as The Old Person's Guide to the Orchestra) to 23 seconds apiece, though to quite what musical purpose is far from certain; whilst he seems to be proud of this attribute, he would instead be better off seeking the advice of a clinical nutritionist to help him deal with his particular plumbing ailment (although I cannot imagine him actually taking such advice)...
