Classical Piano Concertos for Grade 6-8
on: March 23, 2009, 02:38:57 PM
Any suggestions for it? My piano teacher told me to search for them so me and my friends could learn how to play concertos. She said the composer would be Haydn, Beethoven, or Mozart. Thanks for helping, sorry for my bad English before. Hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards, Cai

Mozart no.1,9, or 20?  ???
Since you said that you doesn't like Haydn in D, why don't you try the other one in G?  ;D

Reichardt is probably your best bet. Not a million miles different from the Haydn, but just as easy. Alternatively, Avison or Arne would be good substitutes.

Some are still in print and available from Schott's.

There is a running thread on Pianophilia for easy piano concertos
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
