How do you make a youtube video?

There can't be too much complication with it since so many are out there.  They're not always that sophisicated. Audio with a pic and maybe the pic moves. 

How are those made?  A powerpoint with audio somehow? 

Or how are the videos of real camcorder material sent to youtube?  How do you convert regular video so youtube can handle it?

First of all, what do you mean by "regular video" ? There are alot of video formats. Youtube can process most of the popular ones, some other formats it can't.

I can't comment about the audio with pictures videos, but you ought to try something (For starters) like Windows Movie Maker. It's installed by default on Windows. Attach your camcorder to your computer (You will need a firewire cable or USB cable, or another interface who's name escapes me at the moment). Open Movie maker an choose "Capture video" and it will show you how to get the video off of your camcorder an onto your computer.

Any video.  The ones I think of look like a moving powerpoint with audio.  And then there are the ones that look like a video camera.

You will need to use some editing software for this.

I'm not sure if "Moviemaker" will do this.

I got a free "roxio" disc when i bought an external DVD writer for my old PC, and a free "videowave" disc when i had to buy a graphics card with a firewire port so i could connect.

Either of these should suffice for your immediate needs.
