help with editing music!! URGENT

format is wave, and i need to know how i can modify tempo without altering the pitch. pls share ur brilliant knowledge, experts..

You don't make yourself very clear, but if I understand correctly you're trying to modify the speed, but not the pitch, of a recording. In that case, you need a programme called 'Amazing Slow Downer' from Roni Music. (Google it.) Does exactly what you want to a high standard of fidelity. It's not free but it's quite cheap and worth it. Can't remember what kind of a demo version they offer.

You can use Audacity (https://audacity.sourceforge.net/) where this is a setting to change the tempo without altering pitch.

thank you olszewski, i downloaded it (.exe), and will give it to my sound engineer. i myself is handycapped when it comes to technology:)

sorry. and thank you for ur info:) i visited the website and downloaded the free version. again, i will give the software to my sound engineer and see if he can do something with tempo without pitch alteration.
