A thought for the day....
on: April 02, 2009, 01:02:24 PM
"I am only one
But still I am one,
I cannot do everything
But still I can do something;
And because I cannot do everything
Let me not refuse to the something
That I can do"

But surely you're not only 1 but also 2 and underscore 3?

And surely, I can make a choice on whether to do something, but I cannot do everything(which indeed would make several of me), and therefore, I can do the one thing that I can do.   You try doing several things at once......humm?  Are you 3?

best wishes,

I was referring to your fourm ID and mistyped "you" when I should have typed "you're"; I have now amended that and I apologise for any confusion.

Hi everyone:
We live in such a stressful world now and I want to share this tidbit that I found in the newspaper----

Stress Management

1.  Live in the present moment
2.  Take a walk everywhere you can
3.  Make friends with nature
4.  Create quiet----take at least 20 minutes a daya to do absolutely nothing
5.  Do that dreaded task early
6.  Play inspiring music
7.  Drive defensively
8.  water, water, water
9.  Grow sense of humor-----smile, laugh and chuckle your way through the day
10. Give yourself some slack----allow extra time to get things done

best wishes,

Try it, it may be a challenge, but we lead such busy lives now and to do nothing helps us slow down in this busy and face paced world.

A thought by Charles Swindoll:

"Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what other people think or say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a compnay, a church, or a home.   The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day reagarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past.  We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude."
