Edition Peters
on: April 03, 2009, 11:25:20 PM
Perdón if this topic is not supposed to be on this board.
This is a question for anyone that owns either of the two volumes of the piano sonatas by Beethoven, published by Edition Peters. The "urtext" editions.
I've never bought sheet music from Edition Peters before, and I'm wondering what colour the pages are that the music is printed on?
Henle Verlag prints their music on a "cream" colour paper. Is this the same case for Edition Peters? Or do they print their music on white paper like the Schirmer editions?
I've already tried contacting them about this question but they still haven't replied :(
Many thanks

I have not got those exact editions, but some of the Peters i do have seem to have a slightly off white paper, not exactly brilliant.

I'm curious, is this what the "off white" paper looks like?

I've got the Arrau edition. I'd say a bit creamier than Henle paper.
Personally I like cream rather than white, much easier on the eyes.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I buy edition peters all the time. It is a good brand. I think they print some of it on white and some of it in that yellowish white. Like a cream color. Thats my fave.
Hope this helps
