VIDEO : Chopin and Mozart
on: April 07, 2009, 05:59:09 PM
Hello everyone , I actually didnt use this forum before. But my friend told me to register and post the videos. I have just created my channel and Youtube so maybe I can get noticed and maybe get some honest opinion and feedback.
It's the first time I dared to put up some recordings of mine online so please be gentle but honest at the same time. And if you'd be so great to rate , comment or even subscribe , I'd be grateful.
As for the video itself , its from an audition DVD i sent with the application to the Hamamatsu competition.

and here is the link :  https://www.youtube.com/user/fmbasmadji

Thanks in advance !

I wish I could be more constructive, but all I can say is that I really enjoyed all your videos. I've subscribed and I hope you'll post more!
It all happens on Discworld, where greed and ignorance influence human behavior... and perfectly ordinary people occasionally act like raving idiots.

A world, in short, totally unlike our own.

You have a very clean tone that I like very much!  I feel that in the Chopin you could calm the RH a bit and bring out the LH more.  There was definite clarity though and I feel you play very well!!!

I listened to the Chopin and thought your playing was brilliant and effective.  Bravo!

I listened to the first movement of the Mozart and liked your playing very much in every aspect. All the best for your competition!

Apart from the great playing, I also liked the recorded sound a lot. The stereo sound nicely contributes to separating the lower and higher registers. What setup did you use and how did you place the microphones?

Well thank you very much for listening and giving such a nice comment :) I was actually stressed out how would I get recieved .. typical struggling musician problem i know :D
Well as for the recording itself .. it was recording in our concert hall of the academy in Gdansk ..and it was done by our small studio staff.. thats why the quality is actually good. I would post more videos if I had it done like this. I wouldnt like it to post something badly recorded. So to give the listener a piece of me rather than the recording. Its very possible that I'll be able to record some other stuff in May , as the concert hall is very well occupied all the time. and I would post it them later and let you know ! Thank You all very much once again !
Best Regards , Fares
