I have seen many people use this term and what exactly does it mean?

Pianistimo is merely insane.  A better example is hinton.

I've wondered the same thing myself.  I just think it's funny.  I mean, there is a community here - but some members don't like what others say because it's a con'troll'ed environment where people feel they must fit in.  I've never been ashamed or disgraced enough to leave G-d out and feel that if one must give up their personal beliefs, the community that is asking them to do that is really the one that has problems.

What Christians have you ever been around that called YOU a 'troll' for reading the bible and doing nothing about it.  Trolls supposedly live under bridges and eat people who cross the bridge.

In doing which you are almost certainly in a minority of one.

No one is asking you or anyone else to "leave God out" or give up personal beliefs; surely you have the intelligence to realise that what is being requested here is that people do not keep plugging their God and their belief incessantly in frequent posts (just look at your own post count here) often of many too many words almost to the exclusion of anythying else?

Although pianistimo has a unique brand of trolling, I have to agree with ahinton on this one. Take note that he is one of the most tolerant members of this forum, and even he seems a teensy bit annoyed.

"An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion."
From wikipedia, sums it up well. Marik do I know you from another forum?

Internet trolls live in forums/chat rooms and post often and unnecessarily.
