Question about Bach sinfonias
on: April 09, 2009, 07:47:26 AM
Hi  :)

I have learned 5 Bach inventions (numers 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13), and I was wondering if I able to start with the sinfonias. What do you think?

Thanks!

Sure? I'm very happy!
What sinfonias do you recommend? I had thought learn the most difficult (according to pianostreet are no. 11, 12, 13 and 14). It would be nice?

Don't Learn pieces because they are difficult or easy, learn them because you like them. Listen and pick your favorites.

I had started them after 4 inventions so differently yes.

From my understanding Pianowolfi is quite fond of the F Minor  8).

I just started sinfonia no 5. It is so nice. This is going to be my last before English and French Suites. Since September I have done 1,2,11 so far.

Hi, everybody ! I'm working on the Inventions. I have learned no 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, , 10, 13 and 14. I'm currently working on no 6.

I'm going to complete the set and then give a try to the Sinfonias. I have never worked on a three voices piece.

Indeed, he's one of my favourite composers along with Beethoven.

Why do you ask ? Do you think that I waste my time learning them all ?

Although  I did not ask you, unless you like them I do not think that you are gaining something by learning them all because the pattern repites itself whereas moving to sinfonias you move a step forward and then I think after 5 or six you have seen all.

I don't think that you are losing you time, unless you don't like them.. As Tsagari says.

before I even started learning the piano. Invention no 8 was my favorite,a nd now I'm starting the invention/sinfonia myself. My teacher says after those are finished we wil move to the Well Tempered Klavier. The name already makes me nervous.
