Professional fingering?
on: April 09, 2009, 04:39:38 PM
Does anyone else, find it frustrating like me, that some of the major works in the piano repertoire seem not to be available in any usefully edited and fingered versions?
Although I feel I can add in the fingering with the best of them, there are some works that I find difficult to play (especially at speed) because there are virtually no hints or instructions as to a recommended fingering, i.e. one that actually works.
In particular, I am thinking here of Granados's Goyescas, bits of which I can play quite happily, other bits of which I find fiendishly difficult because I cannot work out a fingering plan for them!
