user names
on: April 18, 2009, 11:30:00 AM
How and why does a member keep changing the user name?  I can understand
the being banned, and returning with another user name. But, otherwise, what is the purpose in changing?  Just for amusment?  A fling?  How does nils keep track of the old and new users here, especially when the member has 3 or more user names and different accounts?    ???

Well with most of them I would guess Nils tracks them through their IP addresses that are supplied to the site automatically. There are ways to get around this but not many people know how and I will not enlighten them as to those ways.

Thanks anyhow for your response, morningstar.    :)
I posted about that a month ago and forgotten all about it and already figured that Nils does the tracking and so forth.

While it was a lapse in vigilance to not notice that this was posted a month ago, it should surely be important still since you didn't get an acceptable answer until yesterday.
