The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Help! Selling a Boston Upright Piano Model UP 118-C
on: April 21, 2009, 07:25:53 PM
Hi All,

I am new to this site but I need some help as I am helping my mother in-law sell her beautiful Boston UP-118C by Steinway piano.  It was custom ordered as it is white and is in really beautiful condition - but maybe about 10 - 15 years old.  We were asking $5,500 for it but now we are getting down to the wire (she needs to move by May 1) so I am pretty open to most offers.  She is located in Weston, MA (20 minutes outside of Boston).  I have been calling piano stores in the area and I am considering consignment but the process seems complicated and I'd rather get the piano directly to a person that wants it (its a better deal for both parties in the end).  I have posted an ad on craigslist but I don't know how many serious piano players go to that site.  Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!
