New 21st Century Piano Piece
on: April 26, 2009, 01:38:29 PM
This piece called "Piano Movers Epic Failure" was composed and draws inspiration from many 20th and 21st century composers. They have incorporated unique technique with the piano, which is so advanced it often breaks the piano. I have yet to acquire the sheet music for this, or buy enough pianos to practice the repetitions.

Such astounding wit! I've never read such scathing criticisms of contemporary art!

For one thing, why waste time and energy to destroy a piano in the first place?
Another thing, there is nothing uplifting, nor remotely close that would define it into a musical category.
Ugh, it was painful for me to watch a piano get demolished!    :'(

I see contemporary young virtuoso pianists nowadays not only play at unnecessarily fast speeds, they also talk and move ultra-fast, interesting.

I hope I don't offend by comparing this to some composers ;) Of course I am overexaggerating  :)But iroveashe has pointed out a truth, that young pianists like to play fast, don't they call it DA FURY in Da Speed Demon Community? :P I think the talking fast has taken it a bit too far though :)

I could hardly watch the whole performance, but at the end of it I was cracking up with laughter. It is really a piano murder scene! Horror film! The piano screams in pain!!!

Now when you say 'piece' I presume you mean piece of art, because there is no way that atrocity can be constituted or classified as a musical piece... It's a bunch of guys who completely trashed a piano. THAT'S IT!!!

This is what I hate about elitist 20th & so called 21st century pieces... there's no thought... and surprisingly no music.

The guy with the hat should be in jail, I think when he stood over the keyboard he hit A minor.
