I don't know exactly how many, but at least a few of these pieces, and probably more, can be found in a collection entitled "30 Chinese Piano Favorites." I just ordered my copy of the book-- had to get it from New Zealand on Ebay becauses it is hard to find-- google for it, and you should be able to find a copy.

Yeah, I had heard of this and looked at it on eBay.

I hovered over the buy button but then thought that most of these peices may not be in there.

I know that "Autumn Moon on a Calm Lake" is, but apart from that none of the titles match up, which desipte taking the translational nuances in to account, still made it difficult to tell if they are these pieces or not.

Hmm I may go ahead and buy it afterall and find out, but if anyone knows then please get back to me.

My book "30 Famous Chinese Piano Pieces" arrived today! And I looked it over to see what exactly was in it compared to what's on Lang Lang's CD. So far, "Autumn Moon," which you already knew about, and also "The Cowherd's Flute." I'm sorry there's not more like I thought there was. However, there are five other pieces by Du Minxin in it as well. Have you heard of Jie Chen's CD "Chinese Piano Favorites"? I have that one, along with the Lang Lang. Very similar to the solo pieces Lang Lang has-- the CD includes 16 out of the 30 pieces in the book I think. In looking over the music today, and having listened to Jie Chen's CD, I found that some of the pieces look quite challenging! I haven't delved into any of them yet-- not till I get through my current repertoire  ::). But I'm looking forward to it! Here's some of the songs listed in both CD and book:

Track listing
1. Liu Yang River
2. A Hundred Birds Paying
3. Silver Clouds Chasing the Moon
4. Flute and Drum at Sunset
5. Autumn Moon Over the Calm Lake
6. Glowing Red Morningstar Lilies
7. Second Spring Bathed in Moonlight
8. Celebrating Our New Life
9. Children Suite
10. Children Suite
11. Children Suite
12. Children Suite
13. Children Suite
14. The Sound of Big Waves
15. Farewell
16. Soldiers of the Southern Sea

Alot of these sound almost impressionistic to me. Sorry I can't be of more help with the Lang Lang. Actually, I started by looking for the Lang LAng pieces as well, but ended up here with Jie Chen and "30 Famous...". Happy, so I think I'll end here, atleast for now :). Please post if you do find any more of the Lang Lang, though!

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
