New Piano Market Statistics: Inside the Quiet Transformation of Piano Playing

For those of us who spend our lives on the bench — whether teaching, practicing for a recital, or simply playing for the love of it – the piano has always been a singular concept: wood, felt, strings, and soul. VIDEO: White Keys Prelude - me playing my piece
on: May 13, 2009, 09:10:38 AM
Hello everyone,

I'm new here. I'd like to share the music I'm composing with anyone who could be interested and get feedback of course, and I hope this is the right place (thanks quantum for the advice).

I'm not a pro, I have no public performances at all, and only play to my friends and my teacher.

I've started playing piano in 2001. This is a piece I've written in 2004 but wasn't able to play it due to lack of technique. I'm a professional medical software researcher and spend most of the time working, so I still lack it :), but I believe my current performance is already quite fine.

Along the last year I'm working hard and trying to spend all free time on music, and my playing is getting constantly better, but veeery slowly. I hope to someday be ready to do concerts (classical+own music+songs+poetry), but that's talking about ~5 years away future :)

Hope you enjoy it.

The sheet music is attached.

P.S. The rules say acoustic piano recordings are strongly preferred, but I have no environment to make a decent-quality live piano recording, so hopefully I may post this digital one.

Bravo!!!!!   I really enjoyed that.  Along the lines of jane champion's Piano Lessons soundtrack.  (And I don't mean that negatively - though I'm sure I'll get blown away here for having said that!) Sincere forthright writing.  Bravo!

Thanks, I'm glad you like :) And I haven't listened to the soundtrack you've mentioned for sure :)
