Best Alkan Interpreter?

Who do you think is the best Alkan interpreter? I know that there's not a lot, so this might make it easier to choose. Personally, Gibbons is my favorite.

Hamelin and Gibbons are my two favorites, for different reasons. For some reason, I just cannot appreciate Ronald Smith, who is supposed to be Alkan's disciple, according to some.

I've always liked Lewenthal, but on the basis of these two clips, I'm going to say Gibbons.

As far as I'm concerned these are absolutely outstanding, both technically and musically.

I like Bernard Ringeissen's Alkan. Lewenthal's Symphony for solo piano is my favorite.

Yes, those two clips are possibly the best Alkan performances I've ever seen. I always thought Hamelin played Op. 39 No. 10 too fast.

Smith and Gibbons. Hamelin's Grande Sonata is by far the best.

Listen at Alkan's Alleluia Opus 25 and you can feel it!

Of course an excellent performance requires an excellent.
I am not sure if Alleluia is a perfect one but many people agree that it is much more musically stronger than Liszt's Alleluia!

Alkan is my favorite composer, and Gibbons is by far my favorite performer of his music. Gibbons seems to have the right mix of virtuosity and emotional musicality to pull off Alkan's work. When I listen to Hamelin's performances, I find that he is technically capable but his performance seems almost cold in comparison to Gibbons' warm and almost playful sound.
