Fabric
on: May 22, 2009, 05:45:53 PM
Our cloth is cold, the fabric wastes
Our skin, our bones- it too disintegrates
In dark deep Earth our bodies are now spread
The seconds tick, but we are all but dead.

No, it is of the forms, says Plato pointing up towards the sky.
No, it is of the ground, says Aristotle pointing towards the Earth.

No, it is of both, says I.

To disregard the carnal is to disregard the spiritual, for it is thanks to our sense do we ever get to reason of the ideal. One must join together the sensuous and the mythical to truly obtain knowledge. It is a folly to divide that which is to its own nature inseparable.

The great Eastern mythologies and philosophies are to not be regarded lightly. Embrace them.

My cloth is old, the fabric wet.
My skin, My bones- need to see a vet.
In dark deep Earth our poos are spread.
The brain just about ticks, but I'm not dead, yet.

If God really exists, then why haven't I got more fingers?

If you wish to mock me sir, please do so better.

You mean you did not like my rhyme
It took 5 minutes of my time
Lighten up and have a drink
I've got more culture than you think

I have no time for all this jest.
The wife is calling, "Come to bed".
Although I enjoy to take the P*ss.
The wife has plans I dare not miss.

Good question.

I think it started off as an attempt to introduce some kind of culture to this forum in a vain hope that intellectual conversation would be the result.

However, this appears to have failed and as a result the thread was hijacked by idiots like me and shorty.

I have to admit that the initiators actual intention remains a mystery to me.

Indeed, I was wondering what this thread was initially about....kind of weird in my  opinion.

This is an excellent verse, I have to say
but the original poster needs some humor
If you (the OP) want conversation, come to chat some day
and if that's not (cultured) enough, well there's the door ------->

I'm burning like a bridge for your body

Well, seeing as how to you the only thing that flows is beer down your barrel, I must agree.

Do you mean that he feeds beer to his gun?

Is so, I would not advise that.

Not made a very good start here have you?

It appears that none of us are up to your high standards.

Perhaps another forum might be more suitable for you.
