I'm not always happy with my playing (which doesn't mean I get mad or frustrated), but I am always happy with my practicing.

The implication of *screaming* would be an outburst of frustration indeed and a temper, I might add; but it behooves me to scream because, my neighbors would hear me and think I'm a crazy lady; and besides, why waste my time and energy on screaming when I can just walk away from the piano and do something else to think what is frustrating me, and then later, when in a more calm repose, then continue practicing and perhaps that problem can be figured out .....hummm?

best wishes,

Was going to say it differently but this works for me...I don't really get angry though so don't get mad at piano.

yes, sometimes screaming is useful in piano playing. but make sure you feel the good muscle support from the stomach. it helps release clogged energy, trust me.

do it now and then, and you'll be surprised that you get the forte(issimo) sound you want. michelangeli did it too when practicing climaxes in scarbo.

scream away  ;D ;D muahaha...
dignity, love and joy.

I don't think I'm strong enough to throw my piano.

But just in case, I moved it into a room with a small window.

I used to when I was younger.

I think it's important to achieve a certain distance from one's strengthes and weaknesses. We can always improve and we can always find something we are satisfied with.

I always wondered why he had a strange look on his face.
