Looking for piano music to accompany fiddler husband
on: June 02, 2009, 08:21:21 PM
Hi, I know this is largely a classical forum, but I'm hoping some folks branch out a bit
My husband plays fiddle (prefers old time & bluegrass) and I'd love to accompany him on the piano (via sheet music). The only piece I have that we really play together is Ashokan's Farewell by Jay Ungar. He's not classically trained in the violin and although can read sheet music it can't be too complicated. Does anyone have any suggestions for other pieces in those or similar genres that have sheet music?
Thanks!!

Great stuff.
I can thoroughly recommend that you buy a banjo. He will love you all the more for it.

The baby on the way is supposed to fill in as banjo player as soon as she's old enough to pick out a tune.
Right now I'm just happy I'm focusing on the piano again after many years stalled out.
