Audition Room Requests.
on: June 10, 2009, 04:44:05 AM
There are some pieces that I would love to see submitted to pianostreet. Going through the Index I find there are a few holes and pieces missing, what do you think? Here are just a few that I haven't seen uploaded to pianostreet;

Albeniz: Tango
Bach-Liszt Transcriptions
Beethoven: Fur Elise
Debussy: Preludes eg:  Bk2 no6 General Lavine, no12 Feux d' artifice
Godowsky: Chopin Etudes, Java Suite
Mozart: 12 Variations on Twinkle twinkle, Sonata k545
Pachelbel: Canon in D
Rachmaninov: Sonata no. 2 in B-flat minor
Ravel: Miroirs, No. 3 Une barque sur l'ocean

Theres lots more.

I don't mind what quality it is so long there is one uploaded to pianostreet ;) I haven't been listing the youtube videos, I think youtube does a good enough job of that.

I don't know... when you play it like a late classical piece the music seems to sound more simple and elegant, where if you put a romantic interpretation then it becomes a bit too poignant...

but each to his own...

Id love to see some more Spanish music played; Albeniz, DeFalla, Lecuona what have you. Latin/Jazz would be lovely too, I have only my own single recording of that style.
Bach: Contrapunctus
Edward Mcdowell: something like this Sea Pieces for piano, Op. 55
