It's funny, I just had this piece in my head before I came here and saw this. Very profound interpretation. It reminds me of something one of my teachers told me once: A good pianist has always time...

Hi marik,
It's great to see you back at the Audition Room! Your interpretation and execution of this less-often-heard intermezzo are marvelous! Your playing is most artistic--very thoughtful, deeply felt, and poetic. You project the Brahmsian "burnished sound" throughout. And the pedaling used in shaping phrases and the long line is masterful. Because Brahms often thought orchestrally when composing for piano, in some ways his music is more profound and difficult to play as compared to other repertoire; but you "put it across" to the listener most effectively. I say, Bravo!

excellent playing! It made me want to learn this piece, until I looked at the score. then I had second thoughts... :/
