I recently purchased a used Everett studio and was told by the tuner/tech that it was made in the 70's.  When I had it delivered to my home I looked up the serial number online.  It turns out it was really made in the 50's.  I teach over 50 students weekly and the 3rd day I had it in my home, two keys started sticking, the small E was not being held by the damper pedal, and there is a twang after all the bass notes starting with small D.  I paid $1200 for this piano and have already sold my old one.  The man I purchased it from is coming tomorrow to "fix"  all the glitches I have found so far.  It did not do any of this when I played it at his shop.  I was told these are minor problems and can all be fixed.  Has anyone out there had experience with Everett studios?  I do love the depth of the tone but so far have only enjoyed playing it the first two days.  It is also frustrating to teach when I have to keep lifting the keys after a student plays the sticking keys.

Sounds to me you need to call a piano mechanic to fix the problems.  An used and old piano will certainly have its problems.   Good luck.

best wishes,

Yes, as I said, he is coming tomorrow.  I am really hoping it will be a quick and easy fix.
