Prokofiev Sonata 5
on: June 23, 2009, 04:43:55 AM
Does anyone have a recording of the ORIGINAL version of Prokofiev Sonata 5? I've listened to the second version, and I've liked it, but I've never actually listened to the original. What does everyone think about the original?  :-* :-* :-*

I like the revised version more.  The third movement in the original seems drawn out.  Better climax in the second one.
This sonata is one of my favorites.  More people should play it.

Here's Chiu's recording of the original:

Btw, I think Chiu's rec of the 6th is the best ever.
