I think I need to write a *Dear tds*  because I don't really have all the answers as you
purport me to have,  :P   I appreciate you making this thread , however, it seems to me
that not many members would want my advice anyhow.   :-[

By the way, that singer was off pitch, I do a lot of singing and you would not want to achieve that quality of singing.   ;)

I think anyone can detect that.  :P I wanted to achieve the quality of the articulation of the words he was singing. Did you see the subtitles? lol  :D

Food combinations can do the trick; what part of your *diet* did you change, by the way?

Dear go,

How do I project my head voice properly? It seems 8x more difficult than projecting from chest voice!
Bach - Partita No.2
Scriabin - Etude 8/12
Debussy - L'isle Joyeuse
Liszt - Un Sospiro

Goal:
Prokofiev - Toccata

If this has anything to do with singing, then the best voice to project is from using your
diaphragm along with good breathing control.

Dear Go,

Hi there! My name is Dave. I think I've not really met you, but I've read some of your posts in which you seem a very nice and encouraging member who likes to take advantage of a good chat. I'm not so good at the chatting, either on the forum or in real life, but oh! I like the music and posting about the music!

Well, I'll post this.

Bye bye! :D

Dear Dave:

You are doing well in introducing yourself here,  =)   Indeed, chatting can be ackward in
real life and also online.  What matters is that you enjoy posting about music and keep up
the music in your life also.   Nice *meeting* you.   :)

best wishes,

Dear go,
Parts of my improvisation exhibit untoward manic-erotic dependency on augmented harmony. In a television documentary John Cleese suggested eating plenty of sausages would cure most mental problems but so far this has not worked. Can you suggest another remedy ?

Does anyone here have any credible and usefully informative suggestions as to why it is deemed that "go" should have to put up with this kind of thing and waste her time providing answers to inane questions?

Just curious...

Because "go", judging from the answers provided, may actually have fun doing so? The term "prepuberescence" comes to mind...
Ah well, not that I have trouble with it, this thread (threat?) is MUCH more enjoyable reading that the ENDLESS Michael Jackson blahblahdiblahblahtripleblahyappityyapyapblah :P

Just my guess, really. May not be worth much.....

In the long run, any words about music are less important than the music. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not worth talking to (Shostakovich)

If some members get some kind of entertainment out of this thread, then that's great.  I don't think this thread is any worse than the religious showdown in April, as you may recall, and some other needless threads that seems to weave in and out in this forum.
It's all just fun and I get some laughs too in my long day ahead.   ;D

Sure, but, that said, there was a clip on a BBC radio programme yesterday about which I have been told but of whose precise context I cannot be certain as I did not actually hear it myself, in which someone was apparently adding yet more to the endless Michael Jackson stuff by talking about the troubled lives of some pop artists in spite of the extent to which their work has been internationally celebrated and she then contrasted this example with that of Elliott Carter whom she'd just met and spoken to at Aldeburgh and who she described as someone that has been an artist for many decades and who is not merely comfortable within himself but very happy with his life and work despite not having gone about achieving his aspirations either in the easiest way or in the hope or expectation of anything remotely approaching the same scale of public recognition and approbation; she was clearly profoundly impressed by Elliott's conduct of himself. I daresay that this would have been and will likely remain the only occasion on which Elliott's name will be uttered on that radio channel (since it was not BBC Radio 3) and I rather hope that it will be the last in which it is uttered anywhere in the context of the said Mr Jackson (decd.)...

If you're referring to me, I can confirm that I was not reporting my own contribution to the programme concerned, nor did I produce that programme or exert any editorial or other kind of control over its content, so responsibility for the "bringing up" concerned would appear to lay elsewhere...
