Brahms op.118 ballade help needed!

According to the copy I have, Brahms calls for the soft pedal to be used during the middle section, but there is no indication of when he wants it to be taken off. Any suggestions???

When the main theme comes back. Good luck with it (remember not to make it to fast, just powerful)
