I couldn't hear very much of their actual singing from that website.  But I think I get an idea of what their about.  I heard a similar korean group called vivavoce that sang classics and things like bacharach and webb in really lovely arrangements.  It's easy listening and beautiful voices.  And good-looking guys, as well. ;D

I really can't stand these pop acts that some people try to pass off as "classical". It just sounds like a 2-bit knock-off à la Andrea Bocelli. Don't listen to these guys. Listen to a great operatic tenor (or group of them) sing some awesome operatic arias. You'll get much better quality and a more genuine sound.

Glad someone has the same opinion of Andrea Bocelli as I do.  I wouldn't go across the street to hear him.

It seems there's another thread on the Divo, from 4 years ago.  Strange, I've never heard of them.  Bocelli was great pop singer.  I actually liked his voice and style when he was singing BEFORE San Remo, the italian national song contest.  Then he got to know Pavarotti, decided he was an opera singer, and now we have this multi-national product that's rolling in the same dough Pavrotti did, Bartoli does, etc.  It's ALL marketing.  Deals with Rolex, American express, you name it.  Last year I worked with Bocelli in Carmen, (I'm an opera hack pianist) and they were going to mike his voice (in one of the best acoustical theatres in Italy) because you couldn't here him in the last row.  HOw do you explain his success?  I don't know.  But a lot of it has to do with him being blind.  Juan Flores is perhaps one of the most beautiful sounding tenors at the moment.  Domingo was my all-time favorite.

Mario Lanza 4 evah!!

And so what Bocelli, el Divo; in Italy opera is still accesable for average Joe and not some stuffed relic for well-to-do's.
