bigger items on screen, but not blurry?
on: July 20, 2009, 02:14:32 AM
I've been nutsing with screen resolution. I just want to make things bigger overall. Mainly text I guess. I tried lowering the resolution a bit but now I'm noticing images are blurrier. I can't win.
It's small, crisp letters or big, fuzzy ones.

Last time I checked you can change fonts and fonts size in Windows, along with icons size. Resolution is more about quality than size.

Excellent. Thanks!
I'd forgotten about the text/font size settings part. I thought resolution was the only way. Duh...

LCD monitors work best in their native resolution. Changing the resolution on these could result in blurrier text. However, this technique does work on CRT's.
In MS Word there is a feature to zoom in text: make it bigger without changing font size so it will still print the same.
In Firefox you can easily zoom in our out. This includes both images and text, or text only. View > Zoom. (There you will see the keyboard shortcuts).

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

It looks like the font/text size options worked. Some stuff is really small though. Everything was generally a bit small.
