I have a 10 year old upright and had no problems with anything except one thing: its touch weight. It's like trudging through quicksand for your fingers and after every practice, at least one part of my body would get sore. Even during slow practice, I get tired. I figured it's not a relaxing issue, because I was fine practicing on my teacher's piano. Is there any way to confirm this? Fix it? Or should I get a new piano?

A technician should be able to help you, shouldn't they? After all, isn't part of their job regulating the action so that all the keys are even? I would look into that. Also, move this from student's corner to the instruments section, you might find more knowledgeable people there.
