I'm not that great of a piano player, I'm primarily a bassist but have picked up a bit of piano ability over the last few years from studying music theory on it and jamming with friends. This is an improvisation on C# Melodic Minor, the final chord voicing didn't work at all (I wanted to play some kind of extended minor tonic chord but without too much dissonance in the top so I put a major 6th in and it didn't work) and the rhythm isn't perfect where I stop to pick out voicings but think technical limitations aside that I played some good harmonies and ideas in this.
Anyway here it is, feedback and advice is welcome.

Enjoy.
You set certain specific goals, and worked toward achieving them (in one of my favorite keys

), and rhythm, voices, etc all fall into play once you've established the core. And I believe it worked in that aspect. I don't believe you excelled at developing a specific effect, but did manage to work out the chords, and frame them adequately.
Suggestions: gradually add some harmonic rhythm, a little bit of 'off-beat, hear & there, but not everywhere", and the improv finds itself eventually, if you work at it!
But don't take me too seriously. I'm still waiting for any sort of response to the improvisations I posted here recently. Maybe no one noticed, or maybe I have nothing worth noticing.

Keep at it!
