Dihydrogen Monoxide threat
on: September 05, 2009, 02:59:46 AM
Protect yourselves.  I just realized I've got this stuff in my house!

It's in bottled water too.  Be warned.

One more thing to worry about.  ::)

Haha, I've seen this joke a million times. The sad thing is how many people fall for it. Don't tell me you fell for it, Bob.

I found some in my bathroom too.  The toilet was full of it this stuff.  I heard it's in the water pipes too. Sounds like it's nearly impossible to get rid of this stuff -- You're going to have it bottled water or from the tap.

And if it's sitting out, it evaporates into the air so it's probably all around you too, invisible.

Eh, what's the point of being afraid of it? Your body is made up of 70% of it, and you're going to die anyways. I say just live freely and don't worry about it.

Sounds like lead paint.  Oh sure.  It's not problem.  Just ignore it.

(Bob hands out "I support the government ban on dihydrogen monoxide" sheets.)

You all seem to forget that even though DHMO is so deadly, we cannot live without it. It's just like women, I suppose. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. Or, more accurately, it's like a drug with horrible withdrawals. Only the withdrawals from a lack of DHMO can lead to death.

Hmmm... yes.  Withdrawal.  We're all addicted.  If you don't keep ingesting DHMO, it will also lead to extreme thirst.

(Bob orders some DHMO pills over the internet.)  I'm not taking chances.  They are expensive, but my health is worth it.  The pills look huge though.  I'll have take them with lots of water.

I think the DHMO pills are self-dissolving.

I bought a DHMO detector today.  Pricey, but it's my health again, so it's worth it.  It will even detect trace amounts in the air.  Unfortunately as soon as I put the batteries in it started going off.  Obviously it's defective.

I believe those studies showed the presence of DHMO in nearly every death.  I just never thought about it before.

Yet, you have to have a certain amount of DHMO in the air for a piano to function properly.  But you don't want to much.  Definitely don't want too much.  So it does have good uses too.

Have we all forgotten that there are many deaths from a lack of DHMO? I think if you told someone living in the Sahara desert to lower their DHMO intake, they'd tell you to go screw yourself (in Arabic, though).
