How long does wine last?
on: September 14, 2009, 11:03:08 PM
Before it goes bad?  Or does it last forever?

An opened bottle of wine in the fridge, how long will it still be drinkable?

Ooo....  I was thinking more like six months.

It tasted all right....  I know it's been in there for a few months.  Uh oh.

For having an aging life of hundreds of years, you would think it would last a long time.

It depends on many factors including but not limited to how it is kept before it is opened, how it is kept after it is opened and the nature of the particular wine itself; in terms of the last of these, many wines today are arguably reflective of the instant gratification that is so prevalent an expectation in other things in that they are made for consumption within a short time of bottling, whereas some of the great classics can survive and continue to mature in bottle for many years.

Depends alot on the wine. Some wines start tasting alot better when you keep them open for a few hours, some already start tasting like crap after a few.

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
