Interesting Music
on: September 20, 2009, 12:27:48 AM
I've been looking for music, but I can't find anything i want to play. Does anyone have a suggestion of something that sounds really interesting? Maybe something a little bit dark? I would really appreciate suggestions. :)

It would be helpful to know what you play and what level you are at.

If you are looking for something both interesting and dark, I would deeply advize you to take a look at Gabriel Faure's Nocturne, especially the last ones -9 to 13-which are very dark and beautiful. ( I vouch for it!)
Otherwise, you may enjoy playing Scriabine's pieces ( have a look to another recent interesting post about Alexander Scriabine), which can be also dark such as his Preludes.

Here one of the most facinating piece of Faure, his first nocturne. I hope you ll enjoy it.

If you've got the chops, Samuel Feinberg's Sonatas are quite interesting, as well as works like his 3 Preludes, op.15. A very strange effect, but hardly easy.
