Tea!
on: October 04, 2009, 08:39:59 PM
I Really enjoy a nice cup of tea. I love this one type of tea called 'monkey picked oolong.' It's delicious. If you love tea like I do, what's your favorite type of tea. I usually like Oolong or Roobais.

Five parts Assam to two part Lapsang Souchong, three-quarters of a teaspoon per person plus the same for the pot, brewed for 4 minutes, with a generous splash of full-fat milk and no sugar.

Second favourite: First Flush Darjeeling, one spoon per person plus one for the pot, brewed for 6 minutes, with a medium splash of milk and no sugar.

I love tea, but I only drink one kind. I think it's black tea, sometimes with lemon, sometimes wild berries flavor, sometimes iced, always with sugar.

Strong English Breakfast tea for the first cup of the day, Assam during the day, Earl Grey in the afternoon and Ceylon in the evening. Earl Grey taken black with a slice of lemon, the others made with skimmed milk. Both the pot and the cup should be pre-warmed, and the quantities of tea used depend on what size pot I'm using.

A nice Moroccan Mint Tea is really my beverage of choice at night before bed time. Otherwise, during the morning a strong Chai tea or African Red Roibos tea is my choice to kick start the day!

I just found a new favorite tea. It's plain green tea, steeped for two and a half minutes so that it is slightly bitter.
