Favorite Mozart Sonata?
on: June 29, 2004, 06:43:58 AM
Mine are:

K545 Allegro and Andante movements

K570 all three movements. First movement is probably my favorite one of all Mozart's sonatas.

K333 Allegretto Grazioso

K332 Allegro

K331 Rondo Alla Turca

K309 third movement

K280 Allegro Assai

I think there's been a topic on this before.

My favorites are the C major K279 (third movement), B-flat K281, and A minor K310.

Both K. 332 & 333.

K545, K265, K331 (what a cheap shots of mine!)

My Mozart's favorites are mostly orchestral works (concertos, divertimentos, etc.).

what is your skill level belvoce?

I would consider myself a beginner and I'm working on K545's first movement now and having a good time with it so far., I'm about halfway complete. I would really like to learn the second movement from K545 as well and it looks about my skill level.

belvoce:

As a learning piece (which also sounds pretty good), there's the G major sonata K283.

There's a little analysis of it here which I found pretty cool:

No. 15 in C K545 (Allegro)
Rondo Alla Turka (especially Allegretto)
No. 12 in F K332/300 (mostly the Allegro)

Actually, I love them all, those are just my favorite parts!

Most definitely the Fantasy/Sonata in C minor (I think it's K. 457, might be 547, something of that sort). I might be biased because it's the only Mozart Sonata I've ever played.  :)

Fantasy/Sonata KV475/KV457

Sonata in F major KV 533 & 494 (really special one!)

KV 333 (this one really grooves!)
