Alexander Scriabin Sheet Music Books
on: October 29, 2009, 08:54:28 AM
Can someone tell me where to buy the best printed score books of Alexander Scriabin. I am looking for maybe over sized pages or the best ledgeable clear print. I am looking for a large collection or several books. If you might have a collection or knowhere I can buy this I am very interested. Even if printed in Russian language as long as it is a clear readable music print.
Thanks All,
Elbert

Dover publishes three volumes of his solo piano works.  They are copies of Russian editions (with translated English text), which for the most part are quite good.  I have purchased all three and am very happy with them.

Try to get the Dover copies with signature binding.  New Dover prints coming out now have the cheaper glue binding.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

While this is not exactly what you specify in your request, you can get (I believe) ALL of Scriabin's works in (PDF format) of very good editions (many of the G. Phillipe editions, as well as a growing number of original editions provided by MIT) for legal download (and print it out for yourself on whatever paper size your printer can handle) from this site:
https://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Scriabin,_Alexander

Obviously, this is the massive on-line Petrucci Music Library that you may (or may not) be aware of. And it's all free and legal!!!

Good luck ;)
