PIano & Guitar music?
on: December 03, 2009, 11:59:46 PM
Hey does anyone know of anything written or arranged for a piano and guitar duo. Nothing to hard, I'm the pianist and am about grade 7/8  (abrsm) and my brother is a pretty great guitarist when it comes to rock and jazz but hasn't play a whole lot of classical. However we both love classical music and would love to be able to some together. Suggestions?

Thanks

Incidentally, it doesn't strictly have to be classical music but I am looking for fully arranged material. Tango would also be cool.

I don't have any suggestions off the top of my head, but I thought i would mention that generally composers DO NOT write for piano/guitar because the instruments do not work very well together.

Mauro Guiliani, Hans Haug, Guido Santorsola, and Mario Castlenuovo-Tedesco, among others, have written guitar/piano duets. Not sure about the level of difficulty.
