red knuckles [Bob project]
on: July 02, 2004, 02:30:23 AM
Does anyone have any thoughts on red knuckles?

I get this once in awhile and believe it's long term wear and tear, and definitely not good.

Does anyone else get this?  Know how to prevent it or deal with it?

I get red knuckles when I practice non stop for long periods.  Like when I had to perform Liszt's Tarantella, and to build up stamina, I tried to play it 3 times, starting again right after I ended.  Now, this is about 30 minutes of prestissimo, Fortissimo, type stuff, and by the end, my knuckles were red.

It doesnt hurt, so, I guess it cant be too bad...But then again maybe xvimbi has something different to say.

Me, different? Never! Actyally, I haven't given "red knuckles" much thought, and I wouldn't know what to say about it other than what donjuan said.
