How is the Kalmus edition of the WTC?
on: July 02, 2004, 02:46:03 AM
I have both volumes of the Bible, newly engraved. They're all edited by Dr. Hans Bischoff, and he uses many, many sources apart from the Urtext and has a load of footnotes under each piece, showing the variations from original manuscript and other publishers. I just wanted to know if this was a good edition, as I've started serious study of the aforementioned works.

I have the Kalmus edition of the WTC as well. I haven't done too much serious study of it so far, but it seems to be pretty well researched.
I don't have anything to compare it to, though, so I'd be curious to see what others say about it.

I dont actually have the collection of WTC on Kalmus, but through previous experience, I avoid Kalmus at all costs because there are frequent printing and editing screwups, and the 16th and 32th and 64th notes are always blurry and difficult to work with.

The Kalmus WTC is newly engraved. It's very high quality print.
