Schumann - Papillons, op.2
on: December 09, 2009, 08:34:48 AM
This is my first performance of this piece. It is not perfect yet, of course, and I was quite nervous during the performance. But still, Would love to hear what you think.

Well, of course to give a really founded "critique" I would need to listen many more times, which, unfortunately, I can't do at the moment. But so far I like your performance very much. I think you capture the spirit of these "butterflies" very well! And I hear and enjoy in your playing exactly what Schumann would have called "launisch", the abrupt changes, the subtle irony, humour and intimacy.

Thank you so much for listening! I'm glad you liked it. Still, I feel all the things you mentioned, which of course I tried to do, aren't good enough in this recording... I will work on it more... but I'm glad that my intentions were felt
