It sounds like part of a film score from the 1940s-1950s to me. Other than that, I really don't know. Why not message the YouTube user directly and ask?

Yes, I'm curious now too.

Dang... The harmonies around 1:02-1:12 are really reminding me of some composer.  I just can't think of this name.  He's French.

I want to know what it is now too.  We'll have to hunt down Paul from Rick Jones Pianos.

Hey, hey.  I found the guy I was thinking of.

Ernest Chausson.

If that helps any.  I listened to a few clips linked from there.  (Piano Trio is very nice.)  It sounds similar, but not as "movie-ish" as the Paul from RickJones Pianos' piece.

I took your suggestion and found out that the piece is a Stephen Hough transcription of 'Til I Wake by Amy Woodforde-Finden (1860-1919).

It is the last piece from a short suite Four Indian Love Lyrics which I had in my collection already (attached).

Stephen Hough adds some nice touches to his transcription of the piece and it would be nice to find a copy of it.
