'battle of waterloo'...
on: December 24, 2009, 01:40:42 AM
I am looking for these 2 pieces of music, so far I cannot find them anywhere.

Heidenroslein by G. Lange

Battle of Waterloo by W. Anderson

Neither have I really heard about the composers.

If anyone has the music to these or knows where to get it, I will be much obliged!

Thanks.

That second one is really sweet music!  The first would be great teaching material for intermediate beginners.  It has everything.

Did Anderson write "The Battle of Waterloo" as a satire of Kotzwara's "The Battle of Prague"?

The form is the same, and it's hard to imagine he would write such a piece for any other reason.

Could be old chap. I think there were a few "battle" pieces written.

Not by French composers as they rarely won any.
