New Genius!!
on: December 27, 2009, 11:35:14 PM
Hello,

I just want to wish all of You Happy New Year!! By the way: before a while I was on Youtube and I think I discovered very very good, interesting pianist, but not only a pianist-he is in my opinion very big, sensitive musician. You can find him on Youtube his name is konrad skolarski (I'm not sure),and I think his interpretation of 7th Prokofiev Sonata as well as 2nd Prokofiev Sonata are the best I've ever heard.Apart from that You can also find there his other recordings!! I found his bio,he's a pupil of Pavel Gililov. It's curious, how do You find him! Best regards!! V.

Very nice performer. I hope he develops.

Stalingrad movt 1 certainly not outstanding. Does not control the opening bars well. His interpretation is purposeless compared with, say, Glenn Gould. I listened to no more than that. He is still a fine fine player and should not be discouraged in any way.

I did listen to the whole of the hard 2nd Sonata 4th movement. They call "that" a bad recording [quality]....you should hear mine! To put things in perspective I play this piece in 8-9 minutes and he plays it in the traditional 4+. Anyway once again not a patch on Richter or Gemser, for instance, but overall I was really impressed with his effort. Other than the development of the accelerando bridge after the moderato (and the rather lax uneven moderato), I really liked it. Now a question for the forum, how on earth do you play the opening mixed arpeggio at speed? I can do all the sections independently at speed, but cannot get within a bulls roar of the arpeggios. Some educated advice would be most welcome.

Oh, Walter you state the obvious. When I first saw this uh-oh thread I was hoping it would be buried or disappear, because I kind of like the guy. Why must people so needlessly bring shame on their heads?

thanks a lot for warm words. As for the post from ramseytheii -yo're clever, but seems to me that not enough. If You thing that I need such tricks to make impression-well,it's your right to think that. I joined this forum to meet  great people which also love music, and I am happy that I've enrolled this community. But it would be very stupid to think, that it could be helpful to start the carrier here.I can only assure You,that I don't know Vsevolod personally, but it doesn't play role 4U,isn't it:)Anyway ramseytheii it's nice that You wrote something.

I heard the Rachmaninoff op.39 no.1 and I liked it too.  Oh well!
