Come out, come out, wherever you are.

The newbies are calling to you bernhard....

and they won't rest easy until you appear once again.

you can read his posts and that has benefited me.  Just click on his profile page and
click on posts, then you can enjoy what he offered in the past.  I don't know him because I joined about a year ago.  I do know he has a vast knowledge which I'm sure everyone in PS would recognize.

Yes, where is the great Bernhard? Why his silence? Is he ill? Please, come back, Bernhard. We miss you.

He still exists.
He reads his piano street email.
He told me he no longer posts because most if not all questions he sees have been answered in previous posts, which can be easily found.

So, in order to lure him out; ask a previously unasked question.  ;)

I remember someone saying Bernhard had some videos of him playing or giving lessons but I couldn't find them anywhere.  Would anyone know of these and how to find them?

I remember that I had a dream of Bernhard a bit more than two years ago. He was a wise hermit, living in a cave, had a beard and answered questions very friendly and calmly :)

Ya I'm thinking he's 'watching' everything that goes on, even though we can't see him.  Kind of like a Forum God or something.  ;)

He came back a year or so ago.  Then left as quick as he came back.

He randomly popped up when I made the "Why?" thread a couple years ago. It was quite a surprise. I wasn't exactly seeking him at the time.

You could go with the previous suggestion and ask a new question. But I think Bernhard's reason, that all the answers are there, is valid. The problem is not gathering data, but classifying and ordering them in a format that's more efficient that random search words.

I hope Bernhard has written a book somewhere that covers most things you'd want to know. In the meantime, how about pushing for a "Best Threads Archive"?

Another thing you might want to try, it's kinda New Age though... Think of questions you'd like to ask and before you go to sleep, get into a meditative state and imagine that some great people are with you (like Bernhard, a musician, teacher or person you admire) and talk to them. What would they say? Try to imagine vividly how they act in talk as well.

btw go, sorry to burst your bubble, but the lurking guest was probably just me.  :)
