Although I'm not go12_3...

I would like to say that the 'A' section was actually brilliant. Nice, emotional and with a steady calm feel... very well done.

The 'B' section however - needs a sh!t-load of work... an awful lot of work. Practice VERY SLOWLY hands seperately... then practice VERY SLOWLY hands together, then practice it a little faster, and faster etc... as you try to aim for clarity.

Your 'C' section however needs to work on the timing and try to keep in mind the time signature - 3 beats to the bar - count as you play - it will help. Also - double check the notes of some of the RH chords.

But again... the 'A' section was surprisingly lovely. I almost didn't believe it was you playing it...

Hello Bernard:
Section A sounded very lovely indeed, I like the smoothness and tone of  each note and it was played to perfection.  Now, the middle section of this piece does need a lot of work and I'm sure you are aware of that.  How about practicing slowly, as perfect pitch indicated, so that your mind will KNOW each and every note before you think of increasing the tempo.  Section B is suppose to play in a steady tempo and yet play with a sweetness, remember this piece is written to a lady that Beethoven knew, okay?  So think of love and sweet thoughts as you play this piece and in the Section C play with more passion as the arpeggios run up and then that awesome chromatic scale, which is the climax of the piece, tone it down as you slow down until you reach the Section A once again. Make this piece colorful with feeling.Think of the dynamics too.  But you must know the chords and where those fingers go in order to make this piece a wonderful expericence for you and the listener.  Keep up the good work and I know you can do
it.

best wishes,

Bernard,
Wonderful section A, keep working on the Section B, it's a bit  harshly played
and needs to have more strict tempo with a lighter touch.  Do know that chromatic scale(is it the fingering?  I do the direct fingering on chromatic scale, not the 3-1, just 4-3-2-1-3-2-1 depending upon what key a piece is in); also,  work on the dynamics...loud to soft on that section.  Try not to butcher the middle sections, keep it nice and play with control. I don't know if you happen to tense up while playing that section, just slow it down and work on the fingering and notes for a while and see how that goes for you.  Breathe while you work on that section and relax as the tempo speeds up.   The first section you have it, now concentrate on making the problem sections and smooth it all out.   I enjoyed listening to Section A, very well done and with such finesse,  and you did play that with sweet feelings.    :)

best wishes,

So Bernard.. Section A is better. But still... None really cares for how long you've been practising if you make too many misstakes. It's like being on a test, and finishing after 10 minutes when you have one hour to finish. Then you get the test back, and gets like 55%. Some ppl are like "woho, I only sat there for 10 minutes, and got 55%!!", while some others are "I sat there for almost an hour, but i got my 95%!" Who do you think did best?

Keep playing. and one hand each, in a sloooooow tempo, until you don't miss a single note. Then you play with both hands, even slower, until you play it perfectly. THEN you post it.

Using a metronome is great for keeping your tempo steady (drives you insane but keeps your tempo steady). If you feel frustrated, that you can't keep up with the rhythm then you have your tempo set too fast. Either have it click on each 8th note or each quarter note. Make yourself stick to it. (Fur Elise is one piece that students will slow down when they get to the hard parts and speed up for the easy parts.) In the situation with your fingers being short: go slow, try to make your hand and fingers relax between playing each note and not stress out or tense up. Tension in your fingers/hands/arm/shoulders/neck/jaw kills your tone, and eventually all the joy of playing the piano.
