Recording of Liszt-Tausig Les Preludes
on: July 03, 2004, 09:00:42 PM
Anyone have a recording - mp3 - of Tausig's piano transcription of Liszt's Les Preludes?  Can't seem to find anything on the web.  Thanks.

Joel

Does anyone have the sheet music? I love this piece, and I want to be able to play it since I can't afford an orchestra :P. For the recording, you could always check out naxos.com

Its not at naxos.  How do you know you love the piece? Do you have a recording of it?

I have a recording of the orchestral version, which is pure beauty. This piece goes up there with The Planets as one of the greatest orchestral pieces ever written. I'm sure a piano transcription would be great to play. And, Tausig is well known.
