I'll be auditioning at the College of Music at the national state university[University of the Philippines] in our country[philppines] this coming March. How can I pass?  ::)

Departmental Audition Requirements for PIANO:
1. Scales & Arpeggios, 4 Octaves (Major & Minor Keys);
2. One work by J.S. BACH chosen from the Two or Three Part Inventions, the 48 Prelude
& Fugues, Toccatas, Partitas, or the English & French Suites;
3. A Virtuosic Etude chosen from Czerny, Op.299 (except Nos. 1-5),
Chopin (except Op.10 #3, Op.10 #6, Op.25 #7), Liszt, Rachmaninoff
(except Op.33 #7, Op.39 #2), Scriabin (except Op.2 #1), Prokofiev, or Debussy;
4. One fast movement of a 3-movement Classical Sonata by Haydn, Mozart (except K.545),
Beethoven (except Op. 49, Nos. 1-2), or Schubert;
5. A work chosen freely by the applicant, preferably a work from the 19th or 20th Centuries;
6. A work will be given to the applicant during the audition for sight reading proficiency
Entire program should be played from memory.

They only accept TOP 8 from those who'll be auditioning. I just hope the batch of those who'll be auditioning with me will be lame.  ;D

I seriously hope that you do not hope that.  Work hard, don't slack off.  Presume you are one of the most under qualified applicants, and put your best effort into beefing up your skills.

Are you looking for general audition advice or do you have specific questions?

What I can suggest to you is talk to people who passed the audition and are now students.  What was their repertoire? what was the audition like? were there any surprise questions in the audition? This will give you an idea of what to expect and the level needed to get in.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

oooh. thanks. the problem is, i don't know anyone from the College of Music. :(
i've heard that they are very particular with the "grip" on the keys - quality of touch.

Take a walk through the practice area.  Even better if you can find a student common area (with students socializing).  Just engage in a casual conversation.

I'd interpret that as the quality of tone you produce: is it appropriate to the period of music?  Eg: Forte in Mozart is not the same as forte in Prokofiev.  Just playing "notes" vs. putting thought into a tone that serves the expression of the music well.

I just enrolled in their extension program. They are quite strict with the technical aspects inherent of a good performance. they are not really quite particular with the interpretation. it's quite difficult to work on the dynamics since we don't have gauge for it, unlike with tempo, we have metronome. i'll check the venue where the audition will be held to give me idea on how would i have my piano's and forte's. piano is not piano in a big room, right?

thanks! ;]
