Bravo! I like your rather dry style, it's like a wild ride! I like how you have still time for expressiveness and rubato at this really fast speed!

Hi ovc,

This is fine performance displaying wonderful touch and dexterity, clean articulation, control of dynamics, and expressiveness too.  Nice playing!

As a rule I never comment on classical recordings here because I have never been tutored in classical music. However, from a purely subjective, layman's view, this is how I like this piece (which I play, but not as well) to sound. Here there is none of the usual ponderous blurring which occurs with many famous players. I can hear every left hand note as a distinct finger stroke and yet it never sounds a clinically gymnastic finger exercise; the fire and passion still ring out just as they should.

Nice technical performance. Only thing you should work on is the expression of the right hand, the focus is abit too much on the left now. Remember its a Chopin etude, not a Hanon exercise. ;)

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
