about rude posts
on: January 30, 2010, 09:27:16 PM
You know, I don't feel up to posting anything because of the rudeness of a few
posts in a new topic I began last night.  ::)
I don't want to hear about broken fingers, for their amusement, when the thread is about playing with curved or flat fingers.  Maybe, I am not in a humorous mood at the moment,  but do show respect and answer accordingly.  I'm not going to name the members that spoiled this thread for me, I think most of the members will figure that out on their own.    :-X
If you have nothing constructive to say, then I suggest you begin a nonsense thread about broken fingers....I don't think that's funny either because I love playing the piano as many of the members do here.

Just report them or ignore them.  Nils can take care of some things.  Those posters will get bored with it after awhile too.

I'm sorry that my silly answer in that thread, which was rather an off topic answer to a joke of another poster, has had this effect. That was not my intention.

Apology accepted....and thank you pianowolfi, for your explanation about the posts....and I am aware how some of the posts can feed upon each other   :)

yeah and sometimes we really don't think about the fact what consequences it can have. But it's good that you said it, sometimes we need just to be more aware of the fact that we see only the writing of the other person and not their facial expressions and their context and all :P

Certainly.
If this work is so threatening, it is not because it's simply strange, but competent, rigorously argued and carrying conviction.

I'm just curious why a 'joke' about playing with broken fingers would be rude? In wich way does something like that insult you enough so that you dont want to post anymore?  :-\

Pardon me, but I was quite sick with ear infection for over a week, therefore, my mood wasn't the best when I read about broken fingers....and of course, I will post, and life goes on.....I will prevail...

The worst thing about forums is that you can't hear the tone that person would use if they were to SAY what they wrote to you.  Some posts are just blatantly rude (usually new posters or elitists) and when those come up I just skip down the the next one; some are *trying to be sarcastic, and often it doesn't come out that way.
