So anyway.
on: February 01, 2010, 12:03:03 AM
I feel like I'm going just a little bit crazy with irritation regarding the human race.

I think about the proportion of intelligent people vs. unintelligent people.
I think about the proportion of well-read people vs. ignorant people.
I think about the proportion of logical people vs. illogical people.
Subsequently from that, thoughtful people vs. mystical people.
Logical proposition vs contradiction, tautology.
Critical thinkers vs. non-thinkers.
Less thinking, more saying.
Less thinking, more doing.
No thinking, only saying.
No thinking, only doing.
Cultured, philistine.
Right, wrong.

And all of the hypocrisy, ego and righteousness belonging to those at the ends of those sentences, as well as the beginning.  Just so misguided.  How good would this world be if everyone had read Kant and Wittgenstein, Quintillian and Aristotle, Darwin and Marx, Huxley and Luther?  The breadth of human understanding is so narrow, sometimes I get sick.

If we're animals, aren't we really the dumbest animals?  The most inefficient?  The most self-destructive?  Are the conveniences of comfy, bunny slippers and Fox News really so, incredibly important that it completely overshadows the fact that we're going to kill ourselves and everything else?  That of the little understanding almost all of us have of sociological implications and efficiency, we typically eschew it for idiocy?

Do you ever get exasperated with people to the point of nausea because they are so dim?  Maybe headache?  What is it about people that is so, inherently stupid?

Rant, rant, rant.  I could actually bother to amplify this, but it's just not worth it.
If this work is so threatening, it is not because it's simply strange, but competent, rigorously argued and carrying conviction.

Oh, I hadn't been thinking about you when I wrote that post.  I can believe how much it must have hurt your feelings, as you're possibly the most perfect example on this forum, as I'm sure most would agree.

Man.  It must suck being even less popular than me.

I am starting to get VERY pissed off at anyone who uses bad logic to help prove a point.  I find a lot of people who try to disprove evolution do this.  This is a different debate (and I think there's a thread on it), but if you check any of the youtube news videos regarding Haiti, or other massive disasters, some of the stuff people post makes you want to slap them for being so stupid.
Interested in discussing:

Don't start doing that, you'll run out of hands....
In the long run, any words about music are less important than the music. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not worth talking to (Shostakovich)

Smart people bother if they think they have to prove their "smartness" through pointing out other peoples failings (I don't see how that is effective/constructive use of their intelligence.). No matter how smart you are or how much you study/read/learn you still can't make your sh*t smell nice, or stop yourself from passing wind....SOOOO anyway.

The world would be a strange place if there was no variation to find, I like to think everyone has knowledge to share whether we agree with it or not. Let the fools be fooled, foolish people will capture the attention of those on the same wavelength, the internet can act as a platform to draw together outcast minorities in society and making them band together to feel strong.

There are those among us that have a lot of say, and nothing really gets said afterall.
And there are those among us that just have enough to say, and gets the message through.
And there are those among us that have nothing more to say, and go their merry way.
And right now, I have nothing to say and will go my merry way..... 8)

Today is the day I live and love,Tomorrow is day of hope and promises...

A serious musician is one who loves making music. A musician who lives off of music is insane.
