I would like some great advice on how to play scales evenly. for some reason, ascending scales always give me anxiety, and it is never as even as i would like, but descending scales are just beautiful without any effort. is it just me?

No for sure it's not just you.
For ascending scales I find it helpful to turn the (right) hand slightly to the left, so the palm points more to the right. Elbow not close to the body, a bit stretched out, but not too much (well how should I explain this, perhaps I will post some pictures or videos :P)  The thumb needs enough place to pass underneath the curved other fingers. You should strive for playing in a nearly straight line, no back-and forward-movements like many people do. Fingers close to the keys. Same applies of course analogously to descending scales in the left hand.
